Who we share it with
- One installer. We share your details with one MCS certified installer from our partner list who covers your postcode. That installer becomes a separate data controller for your information and will have their own privacy policy, which they should give you when they contact you.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our service, under contracts that only allow them to use your information on our instructions. These include our website host (Cloudflare), our automation provider (Zapier) and [CRM or lead management provider].
- Where required by law. For example, to a regulator, court or the police where we must.
We only pass your details to one installer, and never to anyone who is not named on our partner list.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, such as Cloudflare and Zapier, may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry details and consent record for [24 months] from the date you submit your enquiry, so we can deal with any questions or complaints and prove you gave consent. After that, we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep a minimal record of your phone number and email so we can make sure you are not contacted again.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it
- ask for your information in a format you can take to another company
- withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email [privacy@solarsorted.uk]. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
Stopping contact
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Email [privacy@solarsorted.uk], reply STOP to any text message, or tell the person who calls you. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. If you want the installer to stop contacting you too, tell them directly as well.
